Here are Indonesia’s Dwelling Time Figures until February 2022
The Ministry of Finance’s National Single Window (LNSW) Institute noted that the average national dwelling time in the period January 1, 2022 to d. February 28, 2022 is 2.79 days. This achievement is better than the target dwelling time of 2.9 days. Not only that, the average dwelling time achievement in 10 (ten) operator terminals which are the general data source also shows an improvement trend.
However, compared to January 2022, the national dwelling time performance in February 2022 was 3.64% lower, although the number of imported containers in February 2022 decreased. In the period of February 2022, the number of imported containers was 172,953 containers while in January 2022 there were 202,938 containers.
Based on this finding, LNSW found that a larger number of containers is not automatically synonymous with a higher dwelling time. The number of containers has a positive correlation with the increase in dwelling time with a correlation value of around 9%. Furthermore, the percentage of PIB containers to total containers also contributes a 15% correlation value to the increase in dwelling time. This indicates that the percentage of PIB to the number of containers will relatively increase the dwelling time.
Every year, LNSW routinely monitors and analyzes the national average dwelling time, where the target for this year’s dwelling time is 2.9 days. Based on data that can be monitored in real time, LNSW analyzes the factors that affect the achievement of national dwelling time, so that it can recommend steps that need to be taken to improve the efficiency index of exports, imports and logistics in a sustainable manner.
Through increasing export, import and logistics efficiency, it is hoped that Indonesia will have competitiveness in international trade and in turn realize an advanced Indonesia in 2045.
